I use this for audiobook narrations and this makes it easy to split a file before any goofs, delete the mistake and then pick up recording quickly.
Automatic crossfades help ease transitions and with the "ripple effect" enabled when you remove a mistake in post-editing the rest of the sound files move as one to fill in the gap so you don't have to move each section manually. And don't even get me started on all the wonderful effects and mastering tools-- I just don't have time to tell you how fantastic they are just trust me-- or better yet, download the demo and do the interactive tutorial. Excellent for the money!
Never got this product to work properly, even after numerous contacts with original manufacturer, Sony and with new manufacturer, Magic who took over the Sony products. Poor example of quality and service. One person found this helpful. Great product. Had some difficulties running when Windows 10 upgraded unexpectedly. Requires accessing the "hidden" Administrative privileges under Windows 10 to ensure a clean activation even if it was working under Windows 8.

I haven't used it to record much, that takes a little getting used to. A little complicated for me, but exactly what I needed. Very professional quality recordings. I only use it for spoken word recordings, but I love having the ability to correct, cover and continue without any fuss. The editing and mastering tools are great.
